Daily Ephesus Tour from Istanbul

Flight from Istanbul to Izmir, Full-day Ephesus Tour, Return Flight to Istanbul

Early in the morning we will transfer you from your hotel to the airport for the 1 hour flight from Istanbul to Izmir. When you arrive at the Izmir airport we will be waiting to transfer you to Selcuk. From Selcuk we begin our full-day guided Ephesus Tour.

Step back in history as we visit the Ephesus Open Air Museum, one of the largest and most well preserved archaeological sites. We see the concert hall, market place, and baths that give us a look into the daily life of this ancient cultural and commercial hub. The Celsius Library and the grand theater with its 24.000 seat capacity are the most iconic ruins in Ephesus. St. Paul preached at the theater and the library with its impressive facade once held the largest collection of knowledge of the ancient world of than 12.000 scrolls. The Temple of Hadrian, the Odeon, Trajan Fountain and the Temple of Artemis are just a few of the other important sites we visit today. The Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World was said to be the grandest of all the wonders and four times the size of the Parthenon, though only one column remains today. A visit to Ephesus is not complete without ride up Mt. Koressos where we enter the House of the Virgin Mary. St. John is said to have brought Mary here where she lived her last days. An important place for pilgrims the foundations trace back to 1st century AD and the spring here is said to have healing powers.

At the end of our tour we will transfer you to the Izmir airport for your 1 hour flight to Istanbul. When you arrive in Istanbul we will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel.
