8 Days Turkey Tour Istanbul, Cappadocia, Konya, Pamukkale, Ephesus

Day 1. Welcome to Istanbul

Upon arrival to Istanbul airport our transfer man will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name, in order to transfer you to your hotel. After check-in to the room, you will be given a brief instruction and review of your itinerary by Road Runner Travel representative. You have rest of the day by yourself to explore the area or relax at your hotel.
Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2. Istanbul Old City Walking Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up for full day Istanbul old city tour to visit Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, The Hippodrome, Obelisk of Theodosius from Egypt, Serpentine Column from the Temple of Delphi, German Fountain, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace, after  the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3. Flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia / North Cappadocia Tour 

Early morning you will have transfer from your hotel to airport for the flight to Cappadocia (60min). Upon arrival to Cappadocia airport our transfer man will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it, in order to transfer you to our Cappadocia office.
Today you will have full day tour of north Cappadocia to visit. Uchisar town to see the big rock on top of the hill with lots of rooms carved into cave. Urgup town to see one of the most famous rock formations that are symbolizing Cappadocia, Devrent valley, Avanos town is red clay pottery center of Turkey since Hittites. Goreme open air museum to see the most beautiful rock-cut churches with one of the best preserve frescoes (wall paintings). The tour will end approximately 16:30 p.m. and you will be transferred to your hotel. You have the rest of the day by yourself to explore this beautiful Goreme town.

Day 4. South Cappadocia Tour

Highly Recommended to Experience Hot Air Ballooning

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up for full day south part of Cappadocia tour to visit Pigeon Valley, Uchisar castle, Kaymaklı ancient multi-level underground city which is 5 floors and extending to a depth of approximately 40 m. Then head off to the Red Valley, this beautiful valley gets its name from the rose-colored rock. Here we will hike for 2 hours to see the beauty of the valley with several rock-cut underground dwellings and churches from the Byzantine period. The tour will end approximately 17:00 p.m. and you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 5. Konya Tour / Transfer to Pamukkale

After breakfast at the hotel, your driver will pick you up to transfer you from Cappadocia to Pamukkale. After 3 hours’ drive from Cappadocia we will arrive Konya which known as the adopted home of Rumi ( Mevlana ), the Sufi mystic who founded the Whirling Dervish, also Konya used to be one of the most important trading center on the Silk Road. After a traditional Konya style lunch (Turkish special pizza) we will departure for Pamukkale, end of the day we will arrive in Pamukkale.

Day 6.Pamukkale and Hierapolis Ancient City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up for full day Pamukkale and Hierapolis tour. Today we will visit Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish because the travertine and terraces of carbonate minerals left by flowing hot spring water. Hierapolis ancient city has been one of the most important spa and health center since 2^nd century for Jewish, early Christians and Romans. The tour will end approximately 16:00 p.m. and you will be transferred to your hotel in Kusadasi. This is about 2.5 hours driving distance from Pamukkale to Kusadasi but very nice country side experience for you.

Day 7. Ephesus Tour / Flight from Izmir to Istanbul

This morning you have to check out the room before the tour start, because you will have transfer to airport right after the tour.
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up for full day Ephesus and surroundings tour. Today we will visit Temple of Artemis which is one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Best of the day is Ephesus antique city which was established as a port city, it has been most important commercial center, once a religious center of the early Christianity and now it is one of the most important visit site in Turkey then we will go to house of Virgin Mary the belief that Virgin Mary had spent her last days around Ephesus and she died there. The tour will end approximately 16:30 p.m. and you will be transferred to airport for flight from Izmir to Istanbul ( 60 min. )

Day 8. End of Your Turkey Tour / Transfer to Airport

After breakfast, check out from your room and we will arrange transfer to international airport according to your flight or you can extend your accommodation in Istanbul and use your airport transfer according to your flight date.
